Pupils grow sunflowers for MK50

Date Posted:03/10/2017

Pupils at St Mary and St Giles School, Stony Stratford, planted 50 dwarf sunflowers to celebrate 50 Years of Milton Keynes.  Stony Stratford in Bloom volunteers give gardening sessions at the school and helped the children to plant them.

Teaching assistant Lesley Corcoran bought seeds and compost and autumn sunflowers were chosen so they'd be blooming when the children came back after the summer holidays.  They're looking fabulous now!
